5 Best Places to Eat

Unknown

Right in the heart of Texas, you are among some of the best places to eat in the nation. That sounds a little exaggerated, but we promise, it’s not. One of the best parts of any vacation (or we think any day, really) is good food. Most people want to try local cuisine, and eat at restaurants they wouldn’t normally be able to back home. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite places to eat in the area, in Waco and outside of our beautiful city.

Brazos Bar & Bistro – Waco

This little slice of heaven is just what you need on your vacation. They offer a unique dining experience with incredibly friendly service, and the food really is something special. They offer an assortment of decadent and flavorful food, and fun cocktails! You’ll be glad you gave this place a shot.

Café Homestead – Waco

This local little café is a special one. They offer all natural, organic food, locally grown and served. They serve 100% grass-fed beef burgers, among other tasty treats. On select Saturdays, they even serve offer a Farm to Table dining experience.

The Czech Stop – West

Ask any local where to get a good cup of coffee and kolache and this is where they’ll send you. Even Texans miles away know about this place, and there’s a reason for that! They have a plethora of baked goods and sweets, but they are famous for their kolaches, so this place is a MUST when you’re in the area.

Millers Smokehouse – Belton

This small town smokehouse offers great barbecue, something you know Texas does right, and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. They offer great food at a great price and really know what they’re doing in the kitchen. (Oh, and the sauce is to die for!)

Thai Garden Café – Cleburne

If you’ve never had Thai food, this is definitely the place you’re going to want to try first. However, it might ruin you for other Thai places because they just won’t stack up! They have lunch and dinner meals at great prices, and something that everyone can enjoy (even the pickiest of eaters.)
